Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Purpose: to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families by creating consistent protocols and routines.
(AM & PM procedures remain the same as last year)
- SAC Students-may report to the Library as early as 6:00 AM
- “Early Risers”-In efforts to support our families and their work schedules, as best we can, our doors will open as early as 7:15 AM daily, with appointed staff supervision in the cafeteria. These students will enter Door #2 from the lower level (under the bridge) from 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM. For safety reasons, please refrain from dropping students off or allowing them to arrive before 7:15 AM, as there will be no supervision.
- Walkers will be greeted by staff members and enter Door #2 from the lower level (under the bridge).
- Pre K Drop-Off: Per the Early Childhood Department, all preschool students must be dropped off no later than 8:30 AM daily.
- Cars/Cabs/Vans will make a “RIGHT TURN” onto the school’s parking lot from Cozens Ave. and drive to the rear of the school to drop students off. Those students will enter Doors #3 and Door #4.
- Cars will not be allowed to make an illegal left turn onto the parking lot.
- Students who arrive after 8:15 AM are LATE, and will need to enter the building through the main entrance Door #1 (bridge access).
- PM Duty Posts: Northview staff members will be posted at various designated locations (i.e. inside the school, the front, back, sides of the building etc.) of the school to ensure adequate supervision.
- WALKERS ONLY: will be dismissed from Door #1 on the bridge.
- Cars picking up students in preschool through 2nd grade will drive to the BACK per usual. However, cars picking up students in grades 3rd through 6th, will drive down the hill to the LOWER LEVEL IN THE FRONT to pick up students.
- ***If you have children who fall into both categories, they too will be picked up down the hill, at the lower level, in the front.
- WE WILL NOT CALL “CAR RIDERS” TO THE BRIDGE.
Please wait at the end of the bridge to retrieve your young Warrior, as our classes will be lined up on the bridge during dismissal.
